Care first Associate Counsellors

Care first works with a range of self-employed counsellors across the UK, delivering brief therapy.

Care first criteria for recruiting Associate Counsellors include:

  • Diploma in Counselling from a BACP accredited course
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience
  • BACP Accreditation, UKCP Registration or NCPS Accredited Professional Registrant
  • Training in and experience of providing brief therapy
  • Availability of professional premises
  • Skills in quick rapport-building
  • Business-efficiency

Associate Counsellors are available to Care first for referrals, paid on a sessional basis with their clinical work case-managed by Care first.

Critical Incident Responders

We are interested in hearing from counsellors with specialist knowledge of working with trauma, and experience of delivering interventions to groups and individuals following critical incidents in a workplace setting. We especially would welcome applications from counsellors that are willing to travel anywhere in the UK.

Workplace Mediators

We are looking to expand our network of workplace mediators across the country. If you are a qualified and experienced workplace mediator with membership of a relevant professional organization such as the Civil Mediation Council we would be interested in hearing from you.
